Segment Two- Lycoris Desktop Linux- www.lycoris.com

Tonight on the show we will be joined by Jason Spisak from Lycoris. Back a month ago we were going to have both Lycoris and Lindows on the show to do a head to head evaluation of two very similar products. But, Lindows has gone back underground (chickens, bawk bawk) and will not be joining us tonight. Desktop LX but their new ProductivityPak that includes an office suite.

Complementing this new OS is the Lycoris ProductivityPak office suite, which is available at Walmart.com. This software package includes Lycoris Office, Lycoris PDASync Palm Pilot synchronization tool, and hundreds of labels and templates for 15 percent of the cost of Office XP. The ProductivityPak runs on Desktop/LX and provides read and write compatibility with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, plus over twenty other formats.

NOTE: Unfortunatly as of show time we have still not gotten the new software for evaluation.

Jason has a background in the entertainment industry oddly enough, and uses his knowledge of marketing and aesthetic design to help Lycoris create and sell attractive, buyer-friendly products.
